Year 5 Cycle Training by RBWM Bikeability - March 2015
All Year 5 children have had the option of participating in cycle training at school. This took place from Monday March 23rd to Wednesday 1st April and was given in small groups by Bikeability.
Bikeability Level 2: This course lasts for 6 hours, The first hour (Level 1) is delivered in a traffic free environment to establish that children are safe to go onto the roads for the main Level 2 training. This course is aimed at 8 - 14 year olds who can already ride a bike. The on road training will be on quiet roads of light traffic where pupils can gain an understanding of 'rights of way', road positioning and using junctions.
We would like to thank the cycling trainers who taught us.
Sew fantastic! November 2014

3D shapes made by Mrs Robertson's Maths group - 6th October 2014
Mrs Robertson's Maths group created 3D shapes for their homework.
One shape, a square based pyramid, was made with chocolate maltesers by Ollie Marland who took it back home to eat! (See middle picture above)
Once they had made their shape they counted the number of vertices, edges, faces and the number of right angles.
To see photos of most of the shapes please see the photo album at the bottom of the page.
