Our School About Us

Courthouse Junior School was opened in 1953 to serve the newly built ‘Bomber Estate’ - the estate roads are named after planes that flew during the Second World War. Previously the school was in Fielding Road, where the old Alwyn Infant School stood until it too moved onto the present Courthouse site. The school logo of five diamonds on a green shield reflects the area's historical connections with the Pinkneys family of Courthouse Road.
